Bespoke Training for Schools
We can adapt the training to suit your schools requirements, in a formal way, over teams, or it can be a flexible drop in, Q&A session.
Our Bespoke Training for Schools
Allow us come into your school and hold a session for staff where they can ask all questions relating to SEND and let me help explain what it is like to be a parent of children with SEND and how the school staff can help change the school experience for the child with very simple changes that cost very little. This will also then help to build parent and staff relationships which is in the child’s best interests.
We can cover topics such as-
- Sensory overwhelm and how this presents differently at home and at school. What can you do to help in the classroom?
- Communication difficulties and ways to help make communication easier for the child
- Recognising neurodiversity in the class room and how to make very simple adjustments
- Explaining masking and how this presents. The impact masking then has at home after school.
- Topics such a Epilepsy and how this can co-exist in the neurodivergent community.
- Learning difficulty versus disability- What is the difference?
- How neurodivergence effects mental health and how making small adjustments can have a huge beneficial effect on mental health and wellbeing.
- How neurodivergence effects childhood obesity.
- Education around safeguarding and how this is more prevalent in the neurodiverse population.
